U.S. Olympic Athletes

Taylor Lipsett

Taylor Lipsett's introduction to sled hockey came by chance when he ran into the mother-in-law of previous teammate Lonnie Hannah at a grocery store. A short while later, Lipsett participated in the 2004 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships in Örsköldsvik, Sweden and helped Team USA win the silver medal. Two years later, Lipsett won a bronze medal with the U.S. at the 2006 Paralympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. An assistant captain during the 2007-08 sled hockey season, Lipsett has high hopes for the team in Vancouver.

Lipsett is part of the United States Olympic Committee's "Team for Tomorrow," a humanitarian relief fund through which Olympic and Paralympic athletes give back to local communities

Named a National Collegiate Scholar at Southern Methodist University, where he graduated in 2009 with a degree in finance.
