Wise wins open water bronze, Team USA second in overall medal count at 2010 IPC Swimming World Championships

EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands –The 2010 IPC Swimming World Championships concluded Saturday with the 5k open water race with Team USA’s Joe Wise (Menlo Park, Calif.) taking bronze in the men’s S1-10 division.

Wise’s bronze was the 57th total medal for the Americans, enough to place the U.S. second in the final medal tally after seven days of competition.

Team USA’s haul consisted of 20 gold, 18 silver and 19 bronze medals.
