Alana Nichols nominated for Women's Sports Foundation 2010 Sportswoman of the Year

Alana Nichols won four medals at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver.
Two-time Paralympian Alana Nichols has been nominated by the Women's Sports Foundation for its 2010 Sportswoman of the Year award.
Nichols collected four medals at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, winning gold in the giant slalom and downhill, silver in the super-G and bronze in the super combined.
Also having won a gold medal in Beijing with the 2008 U.S. Paralympic Women's Wheelchair Basketball Team, Nichols is the only female U.S. Paralympian to have won gold medals at the Paralympic Games in both summer and winter sports.
