U.S. Olympic Committee Expands Paralympic Swimming Resident Program at Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.

August 27, 2010

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Today the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) announced that ten new Paralympic swimmers have been added to the Paralympic Swimming Resident Program, expanding the team to 16 athletes, all of whom will live and train at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Colorado Springs, Colo.

 “This is a big investment in the future of our team and its performance at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, England,” said Charlie Huebner, Chief of Paralympics, USOC. “By providing consistent coaching, sports medicine and nutritional support, we hope to enhance athlete performance both domestically and internationally.”

All 16 athletes will be coached by retired U.S. Paralympian and Coaching Fellow Dave Denniston.

 The complete team is scheduled to be on-site and begin practices as of September 1, 2010.

The 2010 Paralympic Swimming Resident Team is comprised of the following athletes:
