U.S. Drops Opening Game to Canada at 2008 World Sledge Hockey Challenge

Chris Manns scored the lone U.S. goal in the team's 3-1 loss to Canada on Tuesday at the 2008 World Sledge Hockey Challenge.

CHARLOTTETOWN, Canada - The U.S. Paralympics Sled Hockey National Team lost its opening game of the 2008 World Sledge Hockey Challenge, 3-1, to archrival Canada on Tuesday night. 

Team USA was already trailing 2-0 in the second period when Chris Manns (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for the Americans at 14:00.  Manns was assisted by Adam Page (Lancaster, N.Y.) and Brad Emmerson (Amherst, N.Y.).

Next, the U.S. faces Japan on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 3:30 p.m. ET.
