Challenge Coin

Participants and other supporters of the USOC Paralympic Military Program are often recognized with a challenge coin, which is a strong military tradition.  The modern challenge coin is a small coin or medallion bearing an organization's logo or emblem and dating back to World War I.  In the military tradition, coins are given to improve morale, foster unit esprit and reward exceptional work or support.
